Olympic 2-man race tomorrow

During training this week I had a harder time than any moment in my life. For some reason I was struggling with this track and my driving like never before. We got 6 training runs and for some reason 5 were horrible. God did allow me what I needed though he gave me my 6th trip, and a good trip to boost my confidence going into tomorrow. I am not sure of the reason for my struggles this week but I learned a lot from them. No matter what happens and how I finish I must remember that I am here for a larger reason, a bigger purpose: God! I am here to show his greatness and humble love in any circumstance. Tomorrow whether I win or loose I will pray that I stay humble and compete with God glowing from my heart because that in itself is victory. The only loss is to loose Him and grow far from his heart.

God bless everyone who has helped or supported me. I love you all.

  2. Sorry, I couldn't find a way to email you. I'm just curious, are you married to Abigail? You can email me back so that you're not reveiling personal info on your site. If you are, then I know her Daddy and momma. Well, welcome to blog world. happy2b_wifen_mommy@yahoo.com

  3. John,
I first read about you in Parade and when I later read your profile I became a big fan.

I'm living abroad and I just watched your second four-man run. Massively impressive driving at the start but that evil "Shiver"; well you know what happened. My friends and I were all relieved to see you and the guys climb out ok. Today we'll see the final runs and I hope you get out there and represent America and the US Army. You ROCK!
