Well I will save you the suspense, I MADE IT! After 15 years of driving bobsleds, thousands of dollars or mine and my parents money, and blood sweat and tears in the weight room I made it. I am getting the chance to represent my great Nation in the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. More importantly than that is the opportunity to spread the amazing word of God through my sport and success. Through the past few months God has taught me so many amazing things but one lesson stands out about the rest. I wish I had the power to make people do the right things or prevent them from doing evil but I see the only real way to help them is by example. God makes us stronger so we can speak through actions and not word or tongue. “John3:18 Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with deeds and truth”. I have discovered the only real way to affect someone and persuade then in the right God loving direction is to simply live by it. They will see you actions and Gods grace in your life and want a piece of that. They may not ever admit it to you and anyone else (that is their pride speaking) but your great example can do more to them than any words will ever do. I have been in some rough circumstances and difficult times these past months and by doing the right thing and keeping my mouth shut I have been blessed tremendously. I have also seen the reaction on others when I defy the normal and go against the world to show Gods grace and love. I try to remember that this world is only temporary and I have a blessed future to look forward too. It amazes me how God can still and always take the worst moments in our lives to bring about the best change and circumstances ever imagined. God you blow my mind every day.
In the ST Moritz race I did not finish as I hoped. I finished 15th in the 2man and 11th in the 4man. However these results may not seem too glorious, believe me they served their purpose. I moved my ranking up to 2nd in the world in 4man rankings because of the consistent results God has allowed me to have this season. We have one more World Cup this week in Igls Austria and then it’s to Vancouver Olympic prep time.

God Changed The Weather Once Again
Well what can I say except "me of little faith". I was upset with my 2man result and getting a little sad and depressed and BAM! I finished 3rd in the Konigssee World Cup today and then fallowed up with a 3rd in the team competition. It could have not come at a better time and a better place. The medal was such a spirit lifter and words can not describe my happiness and joy. The Lord always seems to know what we need and when.
For years I strugled to find my joy. I searched in girls, I searched in sport, I searched in worldly games and toys but did not find it. I can now say I have found my joy and it appeared right after I took a step to allow God into my life. In October I was hit with one of the worst valleys of my life but I turned it all to God and gave all my pain to Him. Now God has given me peace and joy that I never thought possible in my wildest dreams. I challenge annyone in hard difficult times to give it ALL not part but ALL to God and watch what he can do with out pain.

Back to Racing !
We off Christmas break and back at it. Today I had the first two man race in Konigssee Germany and finished 11th. I am a little upset with the result because I was looking to do better. Tomorrow is 4man and you better believe I am ready to redeem myself.
I had an amazing Christmas with my mother and sister and couldn't ask for a better way to spend my break and the holidays. I am starting to feel the affects of being back in the cold weather again and not seeing the sun. Did I mention I spent Christmas in the Caribbean? It was hot and I got a bit sun burned but it was one of the best ways to recharge the spirit before a long cold second half leading to the Olympics. Now I feel the depressing effects of the cold I race in every day haha. Praise God for the change in weather for it shows me how in cold times he always brings the warm and the warm does exist only through HIM !!!

Winterberg World Cup
This weekend was the Winterberg World Cup race. This was my second time on this track and first time sliding 4-man here. I had an amazing race in 2-man with great starts that led me to a tenth place finish. The 4-man competition on Sunday was an even larger success for God, myself, and the USA. I placed 5th place with only 2 training runs and a new crew pushing me. The only thing separating me from 1st was USA driver Steve Holcomb and 3 German teams which on a German track is an amazing result. My crew was at the top 3 at the start and God accelerated me down that track to 5th position. If anyone can explain to me what other reason than God was there for my success please tell me ASAP. It was my 3rd and 4th 4-man runs on this track and first time pushing with this crew was in the race, not to mention the rest of the worlds experience on Winterberg. God definitely had my hands in control this weekend and guided me to what was in my mind a victory!!
I Praise Him because it is not my abilities that get me down the track it is the gifts he has blessed me with!

Italy Races & Winterberg week
The races in Italy were a huge success for me. I finished 5th in the two man race and 9th in the 4man competition. Considering it was only my second time on that track and had never done 4man there before I am very pleased with the result. Currently I am ranked 3rd in the world combined points.
There have been many athletes, mainly drivers injured lately and it has opened my eyes to how blessed and luck we are, but also how fast things can be taken away from us. I ask myself and God why haven't I become a victim of injury and why this season I have been blessed with great results and success. I truly believe God wants to use me in some way for his glory. Now I am not saying hes going to bring me glory in order to glorify himself, maybe He is going to use me to show it is possible to keep faith and find joy in a tragic situation. This is where they say "Only God knows" but one thing I do know is through everything I hope to show His greatness and work. God has used the worst (worldly) situations in my life to bring about the best change in me and to draw me near.
This week I am in Winterberg Germany, another track where I have limited experience. I am praying and hoping God brings me success here as well but if not I pray he humbles me to accept whatever comes my way with love and grace.

Italy!
This week is Italy week. I am currently training for a World Cup race in Cessana Italy on the 2006 Torino Olympic track. Training has been good so far. This is only my second time visiting this track so my expectations are only what God allows me to do this week. My experience will not help me much on such a new track, me success is all in his hands, well that and maybe a little hard work.
I feel like many people put to much weight on God to succeed for them and do not fight for what they want. God will give us direction yes, and God will help us succeed when it is in his will but I feel he will never help you to succeed if you are not willing to put forth the effort.
